Office life is boring. We can all pretty much agree on this. When inspiration strikes at work you need to be a clever little devil, and thats what this is all about. It always stuck me as odd that Apple never released a cubicle wall iPod holder. Their loss. Here is the DIY version of how to keep that work space clean and enjoy those fresh tunes you spent hours downloading.

Step 01
Most offices have a supply drawer. Check inside for one of those cardboard CD sleeves. It should look something like the image.

(Click for larger size)

Step 02
Trim off the top (with the sticky part) and cut a notch in the bottom for the USB cable to enter. Now use some T-pins to pin that sucker to the cubicle wall, feed the USB cable through the bottom and decorate according to intended application.

(Click for larger size)

Step 03
Plug in that iPod and BAM. Done. Now think of a good excuse for when your boss asks where you found the time to create the iBox. (Hint: Say something about your ingenuity and ability to solve simple problems with creative solutions…)

The iNotepad, for convenient access to notes on your cubicle wall.

Step 01
Secure yourself a rare <del>office</del> legal notepad and 3 giant paper clips. Yellow paper works best for numerous reasons. (Src: Why yellow is best)

Step 02
Bend paper clips north-end to a perfect 43.89° angle.

(Click for larger size)

Step 03
Create a hook out of the non-bent part of the paper clip and attach to each side of the notepad’s spiral binding. Make sure the paper clips are mirrored otherwise you will feel stupid when you try to hang it up.

(Click for larger size)

Step 04
Using 2 those weird cubicle-wall-clips that every office should have, place them parallell on the cubicle wall. (Note: If you are using a pin-board, just pin those clips into the wall)

Step 05
Slip the paper clips (43.89° angle facing away from the wall to hook into the clips better) under the hook and you’re almost done.

(Click for larger size)

Step 06
All good iNotepads need an iPenClip. Grab another paper clip and bend it like the image and bury it into the cubicle wall next to the iNotepad.

(Click for larger size)

Step 07
Hang up a fancy looking pen and sit back, admiring your job well done.

(Click for larger size)

Step 08
Sit back and watch the amazement on your co-worker’s faces. Both at how you possibly had time to accomplish such a feat after a long holiday weekend, and how you were clever enough to figure out a way to hang up a note pad. (But you know better than them anyway, they are jealous. Plus, anything with a lowercase “i” in front is much cooler than what it actually is.)
